 Today we went over how much the EOCT and the impact it could have on our grades. We then began an assignment on narrative writing and introducing new topics. I worked on the narratives while reading the story as well. I finished two narratives.

Refection #2

 Today we had the task of analyzing and breaking down an article, and answering questions about it. The questions were answered on illuminate, and there were 14 questions given. I think the article was pretty interesting, and I enjoyed learning about the effects of habitual video game playing on youth. I would like to learn more about the symptoms though.

BP (2/13/24)

  Today we read and annotated a poem called The Negro Speaks of Rivers  by Langston Hughes. In the poem Hughes talks in a first person point of view but is actually speaking for/as black people as a whole. This poem talks about the black race being as ancient as a river, as we were the first race of people. He names rivers historically significant to contributions made by black people to help illustrate his message.
