Reflection (11/9)

We completed reading and analyzing, "The Rockpile" by James Baldwin.The story features a black family in Harlem, during the 1930's around the time of the Great Depression. I'm pretty familiar with some of James Baldwin's other works such as "I Am Not Your Negro" and "Another Country", but had never heard about this one. Baldwin's literature is very interesting in my opinion, and he is very well spoken.

 Today, Mr. Rease had a substitute, the sub had a very thick accent and it was hard understanding who's name he was attempting at pronouncing in during roll call.  Today we continued working on the American Lit Benchmark. Finished/got close to finishing our essay question, and were told Mr. Rease wont be at school Thursday, so we’ll have a substitute.
